Balanced Being Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation.
In our first project we need to raise funds to cover the treatment costs of 50 dogs with cancer, our work relies solely on donations. If you can help us in any way and would like to make a contribution, no matter how small, it will be very much appreciated. Contributions may be made at the practice, by post or on line through clicking on the donation button above.

THE CARTERS FUND FOR HEALTH AND RESCUE
The Carters Fund for Health and Rescue is a group of like minded people from various parts of the country, as far south as Essex, Lancashire, Merseyside and Shropshire to the west, not forgetting those from Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, who get together throughout the year to raise money for animal welfare.
We have various breeds of working dog, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bouvier des Flandres, Bullmastiffs, a Leonberger, Newfoundlands and a Rottweiler who demonstrate how dogs were employed to pull carts assisting many trades before the invention of the motor vehicle. Today in parts of Europe dogs are still used for their original purpose.
We raise our funds by attending a variety of venue, for example steam rallies and country fairs. At some events we receive donations from the event organisers for our display and ring appearances. We run a bric-a-brac stall and make tombolas from items donated to the group, we carry collecting boxes as the dogs walk around throughout the day and at one of our events we even run a fun dog show, which is well supported and enjoyed by many.
Each year we have an annual general meeting where we decide were the funds should go. Each member has a vote and membership is by contribution to the public liability insurance.
